Does This Sound Familiar?
Emotions feel intense, or you go numb and disconnect.
You second guess yourself and struggle to trust others.
You say yes when you want to say no.
You stay on alert, even with people you care about.
These patterns may have helped you get through difficult experiences. Together, we can understand them and explore new ways to respond, at a pace that feels manageable.
How We Work Together
Somatic Therapy
Notice tension, numbness, and other body signals. Together, we explore gentle ways to feel more grounded and respond to stress with greater choice.
Parts Work
Get curious about the parts of you that criticize, please others, or shut down. We explore what they protect and practice meeting them with compassion.
Attachment Therapy
Understand how earlier relationships shape trust, closeness, and boundaries. Our work makes room to practice connection while honoring your needs.
What Becomes Possible
More steadiness when stress shows up
Greater understanding of your reactions
Less self criticism and more self compassion
Clearer boundaries and more connected relationships
More room for your needs, identity, and choices
Therapy is individual. We will check in about what is helping and adjust together.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Somatic therapy brings your body’s experience into the conversation. Along with exploring thoughts and emotions, we might notice tension, breathing, numbness, or the urge to pull away. We use that awareness to explore your responses and find ways to feel more grounded, connected, and able to choose how you respond.
-
We start with what feels important to you. As we talk, I may invite you to notice a sensation, look around the room, explore a small movement, or try a grounding practice. You can decline any invitation, and we adjust the pace together.
-
You might notice that part of you wants connection while another part wants to retreat. Parts work offers a way to understand these different responses with curiosity rather than criticism. My approach draws on IFS to explore what these parts are protecting and what they need.
-
Attachment focused therapy gives us space to explore what happens when closeness feels uncertain, conflict arises, or you worry about being rejected. We can work with patterns such as seeking reassurance, shutting down, or putting others’ needs first. Together, we practice expressing your needs, setting boundaries, and building trust at a pace that respects you.
-
You don’t need to share every detail to begin therapy. We can focus on how past experiences affect you now while building support for difficult feelings and body responses. You have a say in what we explore and when.
-
Knowing why you react a certain way doesn’t always make it easier to respond differently. Somatic therapy and parts work offer opportunities to explore what happens in those moments and practice new responses. We’ll also talk about what has and hasn’t helped in previous therapy.
-
My fee is $150 for a 50 minute session. Self Aligned Therapy is a private pay practice, and I don’t bill insurance directly. I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement through your out of network benefits, and I accept HSA and FSA payments. Coverage and reimbursement depend on your plan.
-
Yes. I offer in person sessions in Denver and online sessions for clients who are physically located in Colorado at the time of their appointment. We can discuss which option fits your needs during a consultation.
-
You don’t have to decide whether the word “trauma” fits before seeking support. We can begin with what you’re experiencing now, whether that’s anxiety, disconnection, relationship difficulties, or feeling constantly on guard. You don’t need to compare your experiences with anyone else’s to deserve care.
-
We’ll briefly discuss what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and how I work. You can ask questions about my approach, fees, scheduling, or anything else that would help you decide. There’s no pressure to book a session.
You Can Begin With a Conversation.
Your free 20 minute consultation is a chance to meet, ask questions, and explore whether working together feels right for you.
You do not need the perfect words or a clear plan. Bring your questions, your uncertainty, and whatever feels useful to share.
